National Civil Rights Center to reopen after expansion

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights features immersive experiences and exhibits about the American Civil Rights Movement, which tell the story of human rights struggles. The center, which closed early spring for renovations, reopened Nov. 8 after significant changes.
Chief Program Officer Kama Pierce helped lead the center’s expansion. In the planning process, various expansion styles were considered to ensure old exhibits remained consistent with new ones.
